Heritage Park Museum Executive Board

The Heritage Park Museum Project Team is composed of members dedicated to preserving the community's heritage for future generations. The members of this team are as follows:

Laura Babcock, Director
Laura is a long time community leader and former Heritage Preservation Commissioner with a life-long passion for preserving history. Laura served on the Orchard Heritage Interpretive Exhibit Project Advisory Board for the Society and was the Project Manager during its construction. She also chaired and served as Project Manager and Coordinator for the successful Museum Barn Relocation Project for the City of Sunnyvale in 2003. Laura was employed as private practice, department manager in radiology of Orthopedics at Stanford University Medical Center for thirteen years and is now the principal of Laura's Garden Design.

She is a 1986 graduate of Leadership Sunnyvale, and serves on the Leadership Sunnyvale Board of Directors and the Historical Society Board of Directors. Laura brings extensive experience in leadership, project development and project management to this team. Laura is a 35 year resident of Sunnyvale, California.

Larry Klein, President
Larry is current president of the Historical Society, after previously serving as the Society's Vice President. He has been working in the Bay Area's high tech industry for the last 20+ years. He has worked in numerous engineering positions including manager, program manager, and director at different companies. He graduated with a BS in Computer Science from the University of Southern California.

Larry moved to Sunnyvale after college, and when deciding to buy a home naturally chose Sunnyvale to live. He was a member of the Sunnyvale Planning Commission for six and a half years, and was on Sunnyvale's Charter Review Committee. He is active in the local community and several non-profits.

Jim Reynolds, Vice President
Jim received a Bachelor's degree in Physics at Williams College and an MBA from University of Santa Clara. He worked for 43 years as an engineer in the semiconductor industry, beginning at Fairchild in the 1960's and continuing as a VP of Micro Mask in Sunnyvale in the 1970's. In 1981 he became the founder and sole employee of Reynolds Consulting, offering engineering services to the semiconductor industry. He retired in 2002.

Jim has been active in the Los Altos United Methodist Church, serving for 20 years as the President of the Board Of Trustees. He is currently volunteering at Sunnyvale Community Services and Reading Partners at San Miguel School. He is married with three married children and six grandchildren and is the high lonesome singer in the StarGeezers, a 4 man American music group currently playing at churches and retirement facilities. He has lived in Sunnyvale since 1963.

Jodi Gordon, Secretary
Jodi Gordon has been Secretary of the Sunnyvale Historical Society for six years. She has been involved with the American Association of University Women for 39 years as local President, and both a California and Association officer. For the past sixteen years, she has participated in various health studies with the Women's Health Initiative. She graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a degree in history, taught ten years in middle school, and has been working on her own genealogy for the past forty years. Jodi has been a resident of Sunnyvale since 1970.
